Research Proposals: Cycle

Invitations

Calls for proposals are publicised by Special Announcement on the WRC website.

Proposal submissions must adhere strictly to the specified time frames given for the research proposal category under invitation. Submissions that do not comply will be dismissed without consideration.

All relevant documentation will be made available at the time of the Special Announcement. This will include the latest version of the documents, forms and contact details required for the appropriate research proposal category, namely:

Contractual Agreements

Proposals that are accepted after the final evaluation and selection process are then formalized. A contractual Agreement is drawn up between the proposer’s organisation representative (the Contractor) and the WRC’s CEO. Thereafter, the proposal becomes a formal research project or programme.

Each project/programme is managed by a WRC director, research manager or domain head who is responsible for all aspects of research management and knowledge dissemination relating to approved projects/programmes.

For this reason, it is strongly recommended that proposers and/or project leaders identify and establish personal contact with the appropriate project manager (see Contact Details for further information).
