Water SA is the WRC’s accredited scientific journal which contains original research articles and review articles on all aspects of water science, technology, engineering and policy. Water SA has been in publication since 1975 and includes articles from both local and international authors. The journal is issued quarterly (4 editions per year).

From April 2005 onwards Water SA is being published primarily as an e-journal, with open free access to the published information guaranteed. The printed version is still available but is no longer distributed free of charge. A print copy can be ordered from the Subscriptions Department at a nominal cost of R120.00 per copy plus postage.

Abstracts of all articles since 1975 are available in searchable PDF.  The full articles from 1975-1997 are available as scanned PDF files and from 1998 onward as searchable PDF files. 

It is necessary to login as a registered user in order to download the full articles in PDF format. (Please register here. All information provided is treated as confidential.) Alternatively one can e-read all articles and download all abstracts without logging in.
