System for patching river and reservoir water quality data
Expanded Title:Salinity modelling and associated system operating rules is an integral part of water resources planning. The validity of the ensuing management decisions is heavily dependent on the observed water quality data against which the models are calibrated. The MOVE software is aimed at making the most of the available relatively infrequent grab sample data to arrive at reasonable estimates of the observed river or dam water quality time series. RATIONALE This project was aimed at developing a user-friendly interactive modelling system to patch daily water quality data and aggregate it into flow-weighted monthly values compatible with the monthly time step used in the system water resources planning models.
