WRC activities lined up for COP17 in Durban
The WRC has a number of activities lined up for COP17 in Durban and everyone is encouraged to attend. The WRC stand is under the Department of Water Affairs (DWA) consortium that also includes other water utilities at the SA Pavilion. The WRC will have reports on display which are also available in CD format for anyone who wishes to have a copy. Videos on climate variability and change as well as other related themes will be shown on ongoing basis at the stand. Please visit the stand when and if you are in Durban during that time.
WRC Side events or workshops
On 29 November 2011 from 14:00 to 18:00 the WRC will have a major event. On the 2 and 3 December 2011, the WRC will also make presentations at the DWA event in line with the sector exhibition plan. Chris Moseki, WRC Research Manager responsible for Climate Change research will be making a presentation entitled ‘Impact of Climate Change on Africa’s water resources ‘based on the Vulnerability assessment project that WRC undertook with United Nations Environmental Programme(UNEP) during the 2nd Africa Water Week.
