The WRC visits Dasha School and Centre for Disabled Children in Nelspruit

On Tuesday, 17 June 2014, the WRC management team visited the Dasha School and Centre for Disabled Children in Nelspruit to determine whether there is a possibility to establish and develop an “urban productive food garden”. The  WRC is planning is to establish a practical on-going food garden where not only blind or visually impaired people could benefit from, but will also give the public insight into how such a properly maintained food garden should look like. The proposed food garden will be based on “water wise” principles while using water wise plants rainwater harvesting and other effective irrigation systems.
