The Groundwater Conference 19-20 September 2011, CSIR
The Water Research Commission took a lead once again in this year’s Groundwater Conference that was held at the CSIR on 19 to 20 September.Dr Shafick Adams our Research Manager played a leadership role as the Chairperson of the Organising Committee. The WRC also had a very successful exhibition at the conference. According to Shafick about sixteen (16) out of 103 of the oral conference papers and 7 posters were directly related to the current and recently completed WRC projects. The WRC researcher Darian Pearce won the ‘Best Oral Presentation’ by a student and ‘Best Poster’ was taken by Martin Holland.
